Con goles de Jose Carlos Martínez y Eddie Hernández Municipal vence a Aurora FC dos goles a uno.
Este Sábado 26 de Julio se disputó la Jornada 2 del Torneo Apertura 2025, Municipal recibía en el Estadio de El Trébol al recién ascendido Aurora FC, un duelo que no se disputaba desde hace veinte años.
Desde el inicio del encuentro el conjunto rojo era el que tenia la posesión del balón, al minuto 5' el conjunto rojo tuvo la primera opción de gol del encuentro, pero el mexicano Liborio Sánchez evitó la caída del arco militar.
Al minuto 27' el conjunto aurinegro se colocaba adelante en el marcador tras un centro de Eddie Ibarguen hacia Nicolas Lovato quien remató para el cero a uno.
Para el segundo tiempo el Técnico Mario Acevedo, hizo ingresar a los nacionales César Calderón y Jonathan Franco para darle más fluidez al ataque rojo, al minuto 51' tras un tiro de esquina José Carlos Martínez aprovecho un balón suelto y anotó el empate en el marcador. Minutos después el árbitro central Walter López marcaba tiro penal a favor de Municipal, esto tras un tiro de Jonathan Franco el cual se estrelló en la mano del defensor rival.
Nuestro atacante Eddie Hernández fue el encargado del lanzamiento desde los once pasos, quien lo logró definir de gran manera para colocar el dos a uno para los escarlatas.
El conjunto rojo logró su primera victoria en el torneo y se posiciona en el tercer lugar de la Tabla del Apertura 2025.
Los rojos volverán a los entrenamientos el domingo por la mañana para preparar su viaje a Nicaragua para disputar su primer duelo en la Copa Centroamericana.
