El conjunto escarlata vence 2-1 al Real España en la tercera jornada del Grupo B de la Copa Centroamericana 2025, con este resultado Municipal mantiene vivas sus aspiraciones de avanzar a la siguiente ronda.
El encuentro comenzó cuesta arriba para los dirigidos por el técnico Mario Acevedo, quienes sufrieron el 0-1 al minuto 17 tras un cabezazo del hondureño Daniel Aparicio. Pese a estar abajo en el marcador, el conjunto rojo intentó reaccionar y buscar el empate antes que culminara el primer tiempo, pero lamentablemente no pudo conseguir el empate.
La historia cambió en el segundo tiempo, tras el ingreso del atacante hondureño Eddie Hernández, quien al minuto 64’ un balón suyo al travesaño fue bien aprovechado por José Morales para marcar el empate en el marcador. Cinco minutos después y tras una magnifica jugada por parte de Pedro Altán manda un pase para asistir a José Martínez quien con un zurdazo puso el 2-1 en el marcador.
Con este triunfo, Municipal sumó su primera victoria en el torneo y lidera momentáneamente el grupo con cinco unidades. El próximo encuentro para los escarlatas será este sábado 16, cuando visiten al Deportivo Malacateco en el Estadio Israel Barrios a las 11:00 hrs.
